Key Government Schemes:
Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (2015) → Reduces child sex ratio gap → Ministries involved: Women & Child, Health, HRD → Started in 100 low-CSR districts
Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (2016) → Cash benefits for pregnant women (19+ years) → Encourages good nutrition, safe childbirth
Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana → Saving scheme for girl child → High interest + tax benefits
One-Stop Centre Scheme → Legal, psychological, medical help to women victims → For public/private/family/workplace violence

Scholarships for SCs → Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS-SC) - Since 1944 → Other schemes: Pre-Matric, Top Class, UGC Fellowship
Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAGY) → Focus: Villages with >50% SC population

Aim: Dignified and self-sufficient life
